VoicePlay's rock tenor Eli Jacobson has the perfect voice for rock, and adds a very special element to VoicePlay's sound that the other a cappella groups don't have. Many of his fans are hoping he will make a solo song where his rock voice gets to shine in all it's glory from start to finish. We know he's super busy with his work with VoicePlay and his new baby, but we keep on dreaming....and hoping.... One day our dreams may come true.

I think we need to sit him down with Geoff so Geoff can tell him how it's down. If Geoff can do VoicePlay, be there for his family AND do his solos, surely Eli can do it too!

Almost every musician I know has at least one side gig. Eli is still, as far as I know, doing some voice acting, occasional work with PattyCake. With a new baby, I don't know if he has time for anything else.

I vote YES!! Or maybe VP could occasionally do a song that has most members of the group doing harmonies and one member taking the lead through the song. There were people who thought Hellfire should have been all Geoff because it was a single character, for example, and I’d really love to see Cesar and Eli let rip for a whole song, not to mention VioLayne. I generally love the way they structure songs, but they could get away with shaking things up now and then to give us full exposure to each member (I am always left feeling I haven’t gotten enough of Cesar or Eli or Layne. When I feel like that about Geoff I can always skip over to his solo channel and get a fix. LOL.)
