eH 2015 (Fixed Axle YoYo)

back in the autumn of 2011, i was having a bit of an existential yo-yo crisis. i was part of Team SPYY, which promoted one of the highest quality aluminum yo-yo companies ever... and yet i was mainly exploring the old fashioned fixed axle yo-yo's of a bygone era.

i confided in Steve Buffel, the owner of SPYY, that i'd like to try going "all fixed" for a year, to see where i went. though i knew this could constitute a departure from SPYY, Steve magnanimously offered to make me a 1-off custom wooden throw, designed for the quest.

the combination of Steve's original design, Colin's approach to old-world wood craftsmanship, and Andre's love for the yo-yo business and community worked out to be pretty magical, and every year since we have re-released "the eH" with minor adjustments. the current model again features Colin's remarkable wood-thread axle design, allowing for a semi-adustable gap. the updated minimalist engraving looks terrific on the white oak. i sincerely think that this is the best fixed-axle yo-yo you can find anywhere.

this experience has helped to keep fixed-axle fresh and exciting for me over the past few years. all i have to do is keep playing amazing wooden yo-yo's, and it is my pleasure to get to continue to be part of this story and this partnership.

I am the lucky owner of one of these yo-yos. I absolutely love it! There are just a few of these left at yoyoexpert. It might seem pricey, but it's a bargain for the joy you'll receive. Awesome tricks as usual, ED!
