Feelings
Bekannt wurde Kinga Glyk mit einer Version von Eric Clapton’s Ballade „Tears in Heaven“, die inzwischen über 2-millionen-fach auf YouTube geklickt wurde. Seitdem schwärmt die Jazz-Welt von der gerade einmal 24-jährigen Bassistin, die von sich selbst sagt: „Als Kind interessierte ich mich für den Bass, weil er mir eine ungewohnt kraftvolle Stimme gab, […] Inzwischen sind seine Sounds längst zu meiner eigentlichen Sprache geworden, in der ich meine Empfindungen intensiver ausdrücken kann.“

Die junge Polin schreibt seither Schlagzeilen, begeistert mit ihrer frischen, unverbrauchten Art europaweit in Clubs und auf großen Festivals ihr Publikum. Sie mischt in einem männerdominierten Instrumentalistenkreis selbstbewusst mit und katapultiert den Jazz in eine neue Umlaufbahn. Den Bass macht Glyk dabei zum Ventil ihrer Emotionen und lässt ihn mit einzigartiger Kunstfertigkeit Geschichten erzählen, die in ihrem Album „Feelings“ meist aus ihrer eigenen Feder stammen. Feinsinnig und nuancenreich setzt Glyk ihr Storytelling in Szene und stellt auf kraftvolle Art eine Verbindung zu ihrer Zuhörerschaft her. Dabei beweist sie ganz klar: Jazz ist auch etwas für junge Menschen.
