I loved this video. I have just started studying Dr Elaine Ingham's work on soil science. I never thought of creating a berm. She has raised crops on soil that suffered from drought for 28 years.

So if the volunteer seed does better can you assume that the host plant programmed it's offspring seed to flourish in conditions it did not do so well in?

Thank you for posting this video. This must be one of the best videos I have seen. GOD'S JOY my friends.

Paul,
harvest the turkeys and deer as local regulations allow. They are converting the flora to
tasty protein. Why import livestock, when local protein sources already exist in the landscape.
I really like the ' tough love berm' food forest. Can it be considered a swale?
Would you consider a seed list to put together for a permie berm establishment first seeding?
thanks for sharing ( & thanks for making these vlogs)

Hey Diego, great talk. You could use some movement. Change of scenery, etc. Lets face it, I watch videos for the video, if I wanted just a talk, I'd probably listen to podcasts more. Great info, don't get me wrong, but you asked what you could change. Anyway, I'm liking what I've seen so far, and your experience gained from podcasts with so many other "experts" keeps it interesting, so keep up the good work.
