I remember going home after watching Transformers and getting all into the mystery of Cloverfield for months. It's quite a long time ago but it still feels like yesterday. Man, time flies.

I still remember seeing this trailer in the theater and thinking it was a new Godzilla movie and almost jumping out of my skin in excitement. Even though it turned out entirely different from what I expected it’s still one of my all-time favorite films. I hope we get a proper sequel someday.

I remember being in the theater when this came on and EVERYONE was freaking out during the explosion scene. When the trailer ended with no title everyone was talking to everyone trying to figure out what they just saw, if it was a real thing or if anyone saw a title that they didn’t. It was honestly awesome.

Cloverfield is possibly my favourite found footage film. Most of them don't work for me but this one certainly did. Director Matt Reaves really did a good job pulling it off.

They hype when this teaser came out was unreal. Searching the internet for information became my life!

I remember being very young when my father had us all watch this trailer because of the mystery surrounding it. We all came up with different theories about what the monster could be and what it would look like. I wound up being very scared, never seeing the movie until many years after its release. My fear of this movie was so great that it got to the point where I asked to sleep in the room furthest from the living room on the night that my parents watched it.

This movie is a lesson in marketing honestly because it was genius. they had 'secret websites' dedicated to it with cryptic messages and just the movies release date with no info which got people hella hyped for the trailers
