I use clear plastic sheeting, clear tarps and Mylar blankets.

Years ago they used to use the old electric Christmas lights on a string and cover it up with a tarp.... Just making sure that the tarp doesn't touch the electric Christmas bulbs.... That's how they used to keep their plants protected from the frost., ..

I've wanted to try this with candles and terracotta, but have always been cautious because of the Benzene, and v.o.c's that burning candles release, would they actually be uptaken by the leaves of the plant? Or am I being over paranoid haha

You’re a good gardener. Care makes up for a lot.

Ashley, the world beats us up enough...don't do it to yourself: You DON'T SUCK at gardening...you're a Soil Goddess! Just ask Nate! You are hugely intelligent and you're battling Mother Nature and the Gods of Doom (winter) so go easy on yourself! Oh, and I put heat mats in my cold frames & 4 layers of frost blanket...it works beautifully. Also strings of Christmas lights, the old kind, put out enough heat to keep the plants safe & happy!

You forgot to start chanting.. love your videos and I use your hints in my tropical green house. Most recent nugget is keping the fan speed up. And off at night. They seem to really like it. Thanks again

Ooof yeah I was just debating moving things into my cold frame right before the storm warning last week! So all my plant babies are still inside. Cool to see these methods of keeping the cold frame warm, though!
