VHS-C Tape: Disassembling and assembling

As I have not found other videos for the assembly of the vhs-c tapes, I have recorded a video with the mobile (I had just learned how to assemble the tape).

At least I hope someone will find it useful, since I had to learn how to do it by seeing how other tapes were assembled.

Aaron, thanks! I was searching for a video like this for a few hours now. I was able to get my tape back together (didn't know how the springs were placed) and can now watch my old vhs c tape.

Many thanks for this outstanding lesson! I have just repaired a ruptured S-VHS C tape with important content (one of the ends had disappeared into the cassette) by following your instructions together with some knowledge of how to repair reel-to-reel tapes.

If you take the screws out as you did, then flip the tape to lift off, all the loose parts stay intact in the lower half. and the lid side with the door lifts off cleanly. Easier with VHS tapes, the VHS-C has the extra snap tabs which makes it trickier. The point being that you don't have to reassemble a pile of loose parts.
