WARNING: We are not professionals! Nah, I'm kidding we are totally pros at setting our camper up now. This may not be what everyone considers the proper way to set up a travel trailer, but It has certainly worked for us over the last 4 months. Enjoy!

Great video....This is just some info that we got when we first got started and it helped us out a lot. If you get a equalizer weight distribution and anti-sway system this will take most of all the weight from the jeep and trailer and equalize it. This system will keep the trailer and your jeep level and it also keeps the trailer from swaying from trucks passing and windy days. The other thing is that your head lights will shine straight forward and not up into the sky from the weight pushing down on the back of your jeep. The last one that we had been given was about the water filter. If you put the water filter on the camper first then hook up the hose this will take the hose taste out of your drinking water. I hope this is something that you can use and I say happy camping.

Always great to have the information and less of the fluff. Just your descriptions add the personal touch that adds credibility and enjoyment to your information and experiences. Wish you the best in your endeavors.

Hey like the videos. Here's a few tips. Never leave hoses on the ground, bugs will follow water line up and into camper. Spray bug spray around tires and anything touching ground. Never leave valves open on black or gray tanks, rats in sewer will come through hose inside of camper and crawl in toilet. Keep safe.

All the advise about keeping the waste gates closed during use, then open later for dump: black, then grey, is spot on.

Also, when handling the sewer hose, gates, and fittings, you should always wear big ugly rubber gauntlet gloves, protecting your skin (and transfer to your face) from coming into contact with nasties from your own camper waste and those who were there before you. Think of that end of the camper as the 'hazmat' portion of the job.

Also, always open and flush the 'city water' spigot for a half minute or more, to remove any rust particles or other debris, before you run that crud into your filter and/or camper inlet.

I know its a but late, but have fun!

Thank you for posting this video. We just bought the same model Rpod that you have and will be taking it out for the first time tomorrow. Not so sure how winter camping will go but at least we live in Arizona. Your video was so helpful and I wanted to thank you for taking the time to share it!

Nice video. May want to have a power tester/surge protector to plug into the camp power source to check it out first, then plug your cord if the circuit is good.

Thanks for showing your camper setup.
I'm drawing up plans for my camper which will be smaller
and very basic.

Great video. If I could make a small (constructive) suggestion it would be the following: When hooking up the water hose to your RV the pressure regulator should be the first thing on the spigot (after the splitter) to protect your RV's plumbing and the supply hose feeding it.
