Just got mine yesterday and i tried to set up for my Cardo and phone. It took me 2 hours of frustration trying to have the music comes out of cardo and for the love of me could not figured it out. I went to bed frustrated and woke up frustrated that i couldn't set it up. Today i took a different approach and scoured the YT University again. If you install it into a USB (A) plug, do not ride it in the rain, and pull out the plug when it's gonna be in rain. :D The Proper way is to connect the wire directly to a relay. Then you can use it in the rain.

I found something similar to this to replace my mirror and phone mount. Not much space on my Escooter, but the one I found was way more expensive, and has a tiny metal mount. Perfect for my handlebars. Even includes dash and rear cams. I just gotta get a 48v dc to 12v dc step down converter to power the dang thing. Escooters use such high voltage batteries.

Although this post is one years old, I thought I will pitch in my two Cents. I installed an Ottocast Lite C5 on my BMW R1150R in June of 2023. For the first year I really enjoyed it. Everything worked perfectly! GPS, phone calls and playing music via bluetooth in my helmet. However, after a year, intemittently the GPS stops working via the device, not my phone. I know it uses the phone GPS, but my phone works perfectly with my cars Android Auto (so not a phone issue). Sometimes It decideds to work for a few days, but returns to "searching for GPS signal".

At this time, I have performed both software and hardware resets and still "searching for GPS signal". Very annoying, Currently, only issue is GPS, eveyting else works as it should.

Would I recommend this product? No. I don't know if current models are any better but I'm sceptcal.

I just installed mine today. I’ll admit it’s nice you made this because the instructions are far from quality. Hard to read for an old guy like me lol. The unit however seems to be built well. I put it on my 2021 Can Am Spyder RT. I was quite frustrated till I got it working. Not because of this unit but because of the totally crap BRP electronics. They are pathetic. Sometimes the radio functions work other times not so much. Case in point before this I’d be playing music from my iPhone VIA Bluetooth. Then as I’m driving, it would stop. Trying to reconnect while your driving is certainly not safe and frustrating as hell because it’s all done with a joy stick and many pages to move through. Also you’d think in this day and age you wouldn’t have to sit and wait till the hour glass icon saying loading goes away. Sometimes pretty quick others not so much. So in all fairness I believe this unit is well worth while. The Can Am…..that’s still up for discussion. Over all it’s good but for the money it falls way short. I only bought it because of surgery on my hand I can no longer pull a clutch. I’m a die hard V Twin guy so this is hard to accept. A bike that had a great sound to something that sounds like a sewing machine. Anyway thanks for a good video!

What makes it better than using regular iPhone ? You can open maps & music contented to AirPods or use speakers and can call or watch youtube and iPhone is waterproof too

I have similar device but issues with intercom / headset. I need to pair my phone (s22+) to this device for android auto. Then i pair this device with my cardo headset from second mobilephone channel. First channel is for between cardo headset and s22+ phone directly. If i pair from first channel then Cardo headset uncontrollable independently, for example, if i turn off motorcycle, device turns off too and controls headset, turning it off too. In running normally state, i can't connect to my passenger intercom, headset says "busy". I need to disconnect headset from carplay device to connect my passenger headset. There are very strange situations, I tried different methods but could not find it.

Question? I just installed on my motorcycle. The screen stays on while the bike is off. Is that normal? Worried about it draining my battery. Perhaps I might have done something wrong?
