Gibsons: the MOST BEAUTIFUL Town in British Columbia, Canada

Welcome to Gibsons, the most beautiful town on the Sunshine Coast.

On our road trip around British Columbia, we kept the best for last. On the last few days, we explored the Sunshine Coast, and in this travel vlog, we drive from Scheldt toward Vancouver in the south. On the way, we visit some beautiful spots on the Sunshine Coast, and we visit Gibsons, one of the prettiest towns in BC. After exploring Gibsons, we take a ferry and end our day in Vancouver, the largest city in British Columbia.

Nicely done. The ferry isn't actually free for most of us (only inland ferries are free in BC, unfortunately) as we pay for both directions at the Horseshoe Bay terminal. Comparatively few people cross from Comox and head south from Powell River as you apparently did, so they don't worry about them. Also, the Gibsons wharf is regularly inspected and piles replaced if needed as per government regulations, so it's perfectly safe.

I love this place! My family used to visit my great aunt and uncle who lived a couple of miles outside of town right along the ocean. We'd watch the whales play right from their dining room window

the town of gibsons is a beautiful post card town with all the same issues as any other resource town. I Wouldn't want to live there, but a coffee is nice every now and then if the sewage line or the mill isn't making it too smelly down at the pier. Although they were early adopters of the bear aware program that was only incited by the town hiring the conservation dept to kill 12 black bears which really pissed a lot of people off, they had the best water in the world, actually, until they let it get polluted with septic back feeds. They had plans for a mega terminal corporate water front thing but after years of bad blood and a covid thing it has been abandoned. the best thing about gibsons you missed, Gibsons market is acutlly pretty good with an aquarium and euro feeling coffee spot. vendors downstairs art and coffee upstairs in a very new building. I agree with your assessment of the pier in gibsons. only by its sheer mass does it continue to stand. Dont be fooled by the road side, It was recently resurfaced after many pieces started falling in. you saw the condition of the underside attachments. And the smell coming from there is often repugnant. as i said, it has issues but which town doesnt. at least this one is pretty.

Why do you have to say “the most beautiful town” - you have no clue … Gibsons is a nice town … your so annoying - most beautiful … like you have a clue.
