Three Halloween Wax Seal Ideas with a Blank Stamp

Wax seals can be such a fun addition to your Halloween celebrations. They can be added to party invitations, cards or treats that are given.

The best part about this tutorial is that all you’ll need is a blank round stamp, some halloween colored sealing wax (think black, purple, orange, yellow, white), parchment paper to make your seals on, low-temp glue guns and a metal art spatula.

✨ The Mummy

Sealing wax colors: White and black

For this seal start with melting some white sealing wax. Pour it out into a line, then use an art spatula to spread it into a thin layer over the parchment paper. Use scissors or an exacto to cut the white wax into small strips. Pour a circle of black sealing wax, place the white strips into it, then press with a blank round wax stamp. Once cooled remove the blank stamp. Then add two white dots of sealing wax and two smaller black dots of sealing wax over the white for eyes.

✨ Candy Corn

Sealing wax colors: Orange, yellow, white, purple

For this seal pour a small line of yellow sealing wax, then orange and then white. All the colors should be touching when you pour them. Use your art spatula to spread the colors into a thin layers over the parchment paper. Use scissors or an exacto to cut out candy corn shapes from the wax. Make sure that the triangle you’re cutting will fit on your blank stamp and that you round out the corners to get that classic candy corn look. Pour a circle of purple sealing wax, place the candy corn on top and press with a blank round wax stamp. Once cooled remove the stamp and you’re left with a cute candy corn wax seal.

✨ Little ghosts

Sealing wax colors: White, black, purple

Pour a circle of black or orange sealing wax and press with a blank round wax stamp. Over the parchment paper pour some white sealing wax in a tear drop shape (those are going to be our ghosts). Add a tiny drop of sealing wax to the blank seal and add on your ghost shapes. The use acrylic craft paint and the end of a paint brush to add some eyes and mouth for the little ghosts.
