Always baffled me why GW don't allow comments on their painting videos.

Glad we can here!

When I learned of warhammer, I fell for the Death Guard. I loved the concept and their resiliance.

Getting cool paints and minis is impossible in my country, so I made my own miniatures with clay, among them a 30k color scheme death guard. To know it actually exists makes me smile, the video helps me a lot, thanks!

Never thought I'd see Duncan using enamels and powders. I enjoyed that.

Just a warning to everyone: i've used enamel products for several years, keep in mind that this is very different from acrylics, there's habits of licking off a brush during painting, that might be okay for acrylics but is quite toxic for you with enamels. It has fumes that can make you dizzy too, so use good ventilation or an A1 respirator.
However, enamels are really fun to use and a great product! You can think of it as a wash, that you can remove away again so it only stays in the recesses, my facorite is the streaking grime from AK.
I would recommend Lacquer thinner though for cleaning brushes, and white spirits for thinning paints.

video suggestion: I'd love to see Duncan take a crack at Blanchitsu, maybe making and painting a small little warband for it?

I really like that you show common mistakes and how to fix them.

I’d like to see rubric marines painted like how eavy metal paints them (mainly the trim on the armor)

For anyone trying this out, I stumbled across a neat little trick with the white spirits: when using it to draw down the rust, you'll get some thin rust enamel at the end of your brush: draw this into the recesses at the bottom of the panel (fortunately, Mark III power armor has these on just about every last part of it). Doing this adds shading in recesses where rust would build up naturally, and it provides areas of very faint rust tint color, basically like a glaze, and it adds subtle but very nice looking variation to the armor. And of course if you don't like how these areas look, the spirits can clean it off too.

What we really need is a tutorial from Duncan showing us how to keep our Citadel paint pots that clean. Mine leak all around the edges, especially in the back.

Even if I ultimately went with a different shade of red (I prefer Mephiston Red to Khorne), your video on the Farsight Enclaves inspired me to start painting Warhammer. Now 4 years later, I have been painting for Battletech and Pike and Shotte. You're the Bob Ross of army painting my man, and thank you so much!

First time I see you in non-GW/Citadle channel and man, good to see you unrestrained by corporate policy.

Aha! I now know how to use my streaking grime from AK! Doesn't seem to matter how many videos I've watched of people using it (the reason I bought it at all was because of watching other youtubers) I don't think any of them demonstrated the method from making rust streaks as effectively as this. Cheers Duncan!

I love painting Plague Marines. They're so detailed and really rewarding. My friend had me paint his and it's some of my best work so far.

When I'm painting DG I embrace the shade sploges and find a way to work that into the nastiness. Praise Nurgle.
