The E-flite® Viper 90mm EDF is the Smartest, best handling, and easiest to fly large-scale model of the popular jet yet! It’s a scale jet that flies smoothly and handles like a sport airplane — yet is also capable of incredible aerobatics and top speeds! But what truly sets it apart is how easy it is to take off, fly, and land, which makes it the BEST choice for a first large-scale jet model. Assembly is fast and simple, with no glue required. The lightweight, composite-reinforced EPO airframe is factory-finished in the now iconic Aircraft Studio Design trim scheme from the popular 70mm model. And the eight factory-installed digital, metal-geared servos with ball-link equipped linkages, plus control surfaces with pinned hinges, deliver crisp and precise control at every speed. Functional features include flaps, LED landing and navigation lights, and electric retracts with shock-absorbing, trailing-link struts on the nose and main gear so you can fly from grass and other surfaces with ease.

The BNF® Basic version includes a 12-blade 90mm fan, powerful 6S-compatible brushless inrunner motor, and a 130-amp Avian™ Smart ESC that all work together with the expertly optimized ducting to deliver an abundance of speed and thrust plus a turbine-like sound. With this power system, the Viper 90mm is capable of level flight tops speeds up to 120+ MPH and offers great vertical performance with 6S 4000mAh to 7000mAh batteries. It’s also equipped with a factory-installed Spektrum™ AR637TA receiver featuring exclusive AS3X® and optional-use SAFE® Select technologies. When using compatible transmitters, the receiver and Smart ESC supply battery voltage, current, motor RPM and other telemetry data in real-time — along with optional-use motor reversing to shorten rollouts after landing and for other special ground handling capabilities. An ARF Plus version is also available for pilots who prefer to install their own choice of ducted fan unit, motor and ESC. Either way, for low-time to experienced jet pilots this model delivers a large-scale EDF experience unlike any other!

High-Performance EDF (BNF® Basic version only)
The 12-blade 90mm fan, high-power brushless inrunner motor and 130-amp ESC combine with your 6S 4000–7000mAh 30+C LiPo battery to deliver great vertical performance and a fantastic speed range with virtually instantaneous throttle response. There’s even room to fit two 6S 3200–5000mAh batteries so you can run them in parallel to achieve class-leading performance and flight times.

Power It Your Way (ARF Plus version only)
The ARF Plus version is ready for you to install the power system of your choice (sold separately). You can easily install a directly compatible 90mm fan unit, motor and ESC without the need for any modifications, or you can potentially install other suitable 6S to 12S compatible power systems too.

Functional Features
Factory-installed LED navigation and landing lights, nose gear door and flaps are functional features that take your experience to another level.

I have wanted a Viper but prefer 80-90mm jets. Now this comes out with Smart ESC, Smart Receiver, with nice landing gears and a 1950kv 12 blade 90mm inrunner! What more could you ask!? Great job Horizon Hobby!

Pre-ordered this last year when it was first released then sold my Viper 70mm. To this day the Viper 90mm is the best flying airplane I've ever owned! This jet can easily grease 20-30mph crosswind landings using a 7000mah G2 pack. Thank you Horizon for another amazing product!!! 👏

Just did 3 flights with my new Viper 90. Just very slow and really love the way it handles. When disassembling the plane I noticed that I forgot to put the wing tubes in. Luckily the screws kept everything together.

Those snap rolls are wild, and no stall! Takes off with a very short roll! I'm impressed. Watched a video that stated this viper can go as fast as 172mph!😲👍😎

The pointed cones on the front of the engines is a movable (fore and aft) device to keep the shock waves from entering the engine when passing through Mach 1 and Mach 2 and Mach 3. My dad worked on the SR-71 and the U2 for most of his life.

Wow! I just got done watching this Horizon hobby 90mm Viper video and the video for the Newest MSFS releasing on X-box. Now if I only had the money, to get both of these two things, my world would be awesome!

So I've been flying my new 90mm Viper and I absolutely love it! I originally had the 70mm. And while it's a great plane, there were some issues that I just couldn't live with. The first was the poor landing gear. And the the second was the higher tendency to stall at landing. This plane improves on all of the issues that the 70mm had immensely! This is by far my flagship plane in the hangar.

Iam really impressed by the quality my friends and the size of the bird. It looks like a beast if you compare it with 70mm one. I have a Taft 90mm viper that's beat up. Was thinking about buying another one. Not anymore. This has got me excited. I preordered via local hobby shop. Vipers fly so good.

Oh. My. Gosh. I want this! I don’t have a big area in terms of flying or storage, so I might get the 70, but I like the bells and whistles on this jet, thrust reversing, lights, shock absorbing gear... I really can’t decide!
[EDIT] December 2021, I got the 70mm, with plans to get this at some point as my first 90mm!
