Показать описание
This talk is from the Plurality Institute Bridging Symposium held in San Francisco on June 23, 2023.
Luke Thorburn is a PhD student in Safe & Trusted AI at King's College London. His core research interests lie at the intersection: algorithms ∩ conflict. He tries to understand how technology can be used to reduce the risks of entrenched political polarization and improve collective decision-making, as well as to better understand the extent to which these goals are important. His background is in probability and statistics.
The Plurality Institute develops and experiments with plural technologies by convening researchers and collaborators from communities of practice.
We create robust engagement directly with and between visionary researchers from a range of fields including computer science, political ethics, sociology, and government, who are building and experimenting with plural technologies.
