I teach using just one of many accents in the world. Please only learn it if you like it and if you are interested in learning it. I do not believe there is one “correct” accent or manner of pronunciation and I fully encourage EFL/ESL learners to expose themselves to as many varieties of English around the world to become accustomed to the beautiful variations of this world language. I focus mostly on teaching “Modern RP” (I may just say “RP” in my older videos, but to clarify, I do specifically mean “Modern RP”), however, you will hear a lovely little Yorkshire twang to my accent from time to time too. Please LOVE and BE PROUD of your accent. After all, it is part of your identity and makes you unique. 💚

Thank you so much for speaking on this and not ending most or all of your statements with verbal questions marks. I hear this all the time with folks stating facts, but almost every sentence ends with a verbal question mark to make that person sound completely uncertain of the fact(s) just stated. I have heard this often when someone has a guest on their television show, news, etc. (Example: The sky is up? (My first instinct is to ask "Are you sure?")

Hello, Emma! This is a great overview of question intonation. I would kindly suggest expanding the video to include two additional types:

1. Tag Question Intonation:
- You work in the movie industry, don't you?
- Your favorite color is blue, correct?
- She's too polite to use that offensive word, right?

2. Affirmative Sentences Turned into Questions with Intonation:
-Your daughter is school-age?
-He's smart? That's news to me.

Thank you for the informative content!

In my objective assessment, I hereby declare that the British RP English is the most sonically pleasing to the ears. It is a beautiful language and a triumph of the human civilization.
