If we play both Origins and Mania, I believe we got the definitive 2D sprite Sonic experiences. Very eager to see what the anniversary versions of the games will offer. Words also can't express how delighted I am that the dual Sonic 3 games are being treated as one as they were always meant to be.

So, I wasn't completely interested because I've already played all the games, BUT adding all three characters playable on all games and animated content got me interested. XD

I haven’t played an official release of S3&K since the Mega Collection on Gamecube. Feels good.

Know what also feels good? Being able to use Tails and Knuckles in Sonic 1 like my little child brain erroneously imagined the S&K Lock-on cart could let me do back in the 90s instead of endless Blue Sphere.

Would have loved to see Amy be something more than just an animated character considering you made her a part of the trailer and the group and yet she appears to be left out of the gameplay entirely. I know she was before in all these games, but since you’re letting us play as Knuckles and Tails in games and stages we couldn’t before…. Why not Amy? I’m sure lots of little girls who love Amy would’ve loved to see that.

Despite that though, this looks really good! Love the new content we’ll be seeing!! I’m excited!

Tyson Heese Keeps Getting Better And Better At Making These Intros

I've watched the trailer for Sonic Origins, a number of times, and some things stood out to me either as observations or coincidences:

1▪︎ Character Select Box shows three characters (Sonic, Tails, Knuckles) but has room for five. Given the intro screen, I think the other two characters are Amy, and Metal Sonic given how prominent they are on the art.
2▪︎ Intro Screen shows Sonic NOT centered before he jumps (he stands up on the right), leaving noticable room in the left side. Unlockable Character perhaps?
3▪︎ On the menu screen screenshot with the floating Angel Island, it shows under Sonic 3 & Knuckles, a red dot on the fourth of six dots, implying six games, not only four. Could it be Sonic 3/S&K individually? Sonic Spinball/Knuckles' Chaotix? 2 Master System or Game Gear games? Who knows? There are enough Classic Sonic games to makes a whole other remaster compilation.
4▪︎ Animation segments in trailer seem segmented into the games (Amy and Metal Sonic for Sonic CD, Sky Chase and Death Egg Robo for Sonic 2, and Sonic vs Knuckles for S3&K); leading me to believe, these are the animated intros to the anniversary versions of those games... perhaps
5▪︎ Tails' has Flickies in the Anniversary Mode of Mushroom Hill Zone, implying he doesn't lose the Chaos Emeralds at the beginning of Mushroom Hill when in S3&K there is no way he could have, implying a massive restructuring of level placement and/or mechanics of Emeralds in S3&K's Anniversary mode.
6▪︎ Tails in Sonic 1's Labyrinth Zone. Very cool
7▪︎ Knuckles in Sonic 1's Marble Zone and Scrap Brain Zone. Very cool.
8▪︎ There's a mysterious blue "P" over the Gold Coins when Tails is on Screen at 50 seconds into the trailer in a Zone I am unfamiliar with (Palmtree Panic? Hidden Palace? Something New?). Anybody know what that Blue P is?
9▪︎ At about 51 seconds in Sonic is running in Emerald Hill, and when he is obscured by the loop, Tails emerges AND the timer runs consistant...implying perhaps a character toggle (L, R)? *note that Knuckles appears after, but his timer jumps.
