I ran Anzrag without indestructible and just copious amounts of +1/+1 counters. Felt it was more fun to play with and against. Otherwise every turn just becomes "Anzrag clears the board and someone is dead or dying"

I run ulamog in a tenth doctor deck, and it's very fun because ulamog sees itself in exile and will always enter with at least 11 counters

You misread Ulamog: his Annihilator value is equal to his +1/+1 counters, not his power.

Ulamog doesn't show up as a commander. It's what Atraxa decks use as orbital bombardment.
