The eclipse will cross North America, passing over Mexico, the United States and Canada, beginning over the South Pacific Ocean.

Gannon University physics professor Dr. David Horne explains that Erie will be the only city in Pennsylvania that will experience the totality, producing the most spectacular eclipse of the sun many will see in their lifetime.
