This video should have been longer simply because of the WWE Championship Contract Signing. It was truly an entertaining masterpiece. John Cena and CM Punk's rivalry was top notch. And this rivalry featuring The Rock, Triple H, John Laurinatis and eventually Kevin Nash made it that much better. 2011 was a pretty good year for the WWE.

The rivalry between Cena and Punk at SummerSlam 2011 for the WWE Championship began on the June 27, 2011 episode of RAW, right after Punk costed Cena a victory in a Tables match, losing the match to R-Truth after he speared Cena through the table. Afterwards, Punk would grabbed the mic and walks towards the stage and made one of the most infamous moments in sports entertainment history where he threw a “pipebomb” not promoting or marketing him properly. He also called Cena an "ass-kisser" and insulted WWE management, including chairman Vince McMahon and executive John Laurinaitis and saying that Dwayne Johnson was main eventing next year's WrestleMania made him sick. His pipebomb ended when his mic got cut-off and went on a commercial break.

As a result, Punk was suspended and stripped of his championship match. Cena confronted McMahon and threatened to walk out on him, if Punk were not reinstated. McMahon relented on the condition by reinstating the championship match and added a stipulation for Cena that if he lost the title to Punk and leaves the WWE with it, he would be fired.

On the following episode of RAW, McMahon tried to persuade Punk to sign a new contract to ensure the WWE Championship would stay in WWE; McMahon agreed to Punk's demands and apologized to Punk before Cena interrupted the proceedings. The segment resulted in Cena punching Punk, so Punk tore up the agreed contract and said “Say goodbye to the WWE Championship and say goodbye to CM Punk!”

At Money in the Bank, Punk defeated Cena to become as the new WWE Champion and leaves the arena and the WWE with it as his contract with WWE came to an end.

😮 I believe that this match with CM PUNK and John Cena at SummerSlam 2011, lead to Rey Mysterio winning the WWE Title by defeating The Miz, but The Master of the 619 lost the title to John Cena, and I think it's fair to say that as of today, we all still feel sorry for Rey Mysterio 😢
