Your feet are too far back. The toe of your shoes should hang off the front which puts your ankles closer to the center of the wheel.
The beeping is a speed warning. They are only good up to 6mph. If you keep going when they are beeping, they will tilt back on you and you have no choice but to slow down.
They will also beep when the wheel is not firmly on the ground. If you pick them up while on, they will spin and beep.

I have the Segway Drift's. Top speed is 8mph. I work in IT and the building I work in is pretty big. I cruise all over the building all day long. It's a blast.
The reason that they are OK with it is because I have a collapsed ankle. (long story) I've been riding them at work for about 4 months now and my ankle is much better.
I have tested them and can get about 6 miles from a full charge. They will start slowing down on you around the 4 mile mark. I always plug them back in as soon as I get back to the lab.

I don't know about your hovershoes, but the Segways are built like tanks. All machined surfaces, sealed bearings and the internal frame is made of magnesium alloy. They could have used plastic in some parts, but they didn't. They used quality machined metal and they are pretty heavy. Feels like about 8lbs each.

We'll see how they are at 6 months. If they stop working after a year, I'll definitely buy another pair. As long as the price is right. The price fluctuates from a little over $200 to almost $500.
On Amazon right now they are going for $469. Yours are at $229.

I know it’s expensive but you should fr buy an euc! Get a good one and it can really replace a car most of the time and they are powerful and reliable. I’ve ridden one for 2 1/2 years and I can say I’m very satisfied

I just got these, total disappointment, one hover shoe is not moving at all and not balancing, the other keeps moving by itself despite trying to balance it multiple times… sending it back and buying the Segway… I am sure it’s way better!
