I got my used 1070 few years ago, and the price of this card in 2nd-hand market still holds, even had gone above the price I bought it.

It is the only computer thing I have seen that is able to hold its value after years.

I have a 1070ti OC and it performs identically to the 3050, the 3050 is between a 1080 and a 1070ti... with DLSS and RTX having all the technologies but the 10 series is a great NVIDIA series, it has its time and it still fights.

I paid like 100 Canadian dollars for my 1070 a couple weeks ago. I paired it with a Ryzen 5 2600 ($50). And got some other budget parts. In total it cost 400 Canadian dollars but the performance is great for games I play. It runs all my games at close to 150 to 200 FPS on medium settings.

The only thing that makes rtx GPUs better than gtx is raytracing. This video proves that if you don't need raytracing, you don't need to upgrade

You know Moore's Law is dying when a card that cost $450 in 2016 performs about on par with a card that cost $300-350 in 2022 and they consume similar amounts of power.

I got both gpu. before this 1070 totally beat 3050 easily but im wrong, I would say 3050 is beast now day with dlss on. this is why i said 1070 is bad for now, firstly easily hot temperature, consumes a lot of energy up to 180 watts, vram ddr5, the number of cuda cores is very small compared to 3050, lifespan and no dlss. yeah you still can use fsr on 1070 but cant beat dlss performance. I tested both gpu with cyberpunk and the result very nice, both can run 1920x1080 but 1070 cant run ultra with 60fps its going down to 27fps and 3050 can run ultra with dlss average fps i got here 70-80fps.

i have zotac gtx 1070 amp, but from the fps of the several games on the video, my gtx 1070 have better result, just like on the gow with same scene, i never get that low fps, I have 7 fps more.
