Great content, keep them coming... My mate bought some new forks, did a brill square cut on the steerer tube(well chuffed). Then offered them up, to find that he had not had the handlebar stem in place when marking out the cut position. Ouch!!! Cost him some coin to have a new steerer fitted... Schoolboy error, 'measure twice cot once'.

Ha that was me spraying my cassette like a mad man two weeks ago but I did protect the brakes. I didn't do any maintenance after a "clean" snowy ride and just threw my bike away for a few days. The next time I took a look, both the cassette and the chain were rusted. So everything needed a really deep clean to remove as much rust as I could and then added a good layer of protection and lube.

I replaced two spokes for my first time a few months ago, i ruined a wheel years ago and I wasn't rushing to replace a wheel again. Anyway, completely overtightened and snapped the two replacement spokes in less than 2 weeks. You'd say something but I've been riding bikes 24 years with 14 of those out on public roads, so it's not like I'm short of bike experience.

Rounded a pivot bolt using a cheap Allen key. This was on my brand new Neuron ON. Very annoying mistake.

Little hack. When silicon spraying my bike I take both wheels off and put rubber gloves over my callipers. Then you can go mad with it 😂

Ok just got my new used 2021 trek rail. Guy gave it to his 11 year old son and realized is was too much bike for him. So I got it Friday and been working on it over weekend. Few minor problems plus setting it up tubless. So I get it all set up it’s on the bike stand and I spin the rear wheel and it only spins like twice. Not right. This was probably the way it came from factory. The rear hub was compressed to tight against the bearings. All fixed and spins perfect. So even if you get a new bike off showroom floor please check it over. Luckily I knew how to fix it. But I really should not have to do this the bike shop the guy got it from should of seen the problem and fixed it before it was sold.

About 10 years ago me and my pals used to do a frame run down with wd40, it worked well and made our tyres nice n black however my friend tried to clean his brake disc with it despite me saying no, he proceed to ride into next doors fence which turned out to be rather costly

Allen keys do not need to be that robust. I have used a T handle set from harbor freight( 15 bucks) for 4 years now with no problems. How tight are you tightening things to round off or SNAP one lol?!?!?!

why buy a spraybottle, when you just spray it into the cloth? why even sell it in this form? seems to be nonsense.
