Old vinyls don't have 2 songs, they have entire albums. Certain bands with like 30 minute long songs had a song on each side.

He kinda suggests that it would take a miracle for him to get there. Maybe the brightness isn't a destination as much as it is a state of being. He suggests that he is not a good person, but that if actions spoke louder than words, he'd really stand out somehow. If he can actually make it to where he wants to see himself then everything that it took for him to get there will be worth it. This is just my interpretation. Not saying I'm right, but it makes sense.
