This was a surprisingly nuance way to handle the "Characters look after a baby" plot.
I love that Toasty is not a monster since the beginning, James and Max made him one, and that makes the character a lot more interesting and easy to get invested in!
Great writing! Also charming drawing style and animation!

Was not expecting to unlock Max's tragic backstory and deal with the traumas of parenthood, and have a dead scuba diver all in the first episode. This was really good, and I can't wait for the next episode!

Max is shockingly well adjusted for an experiment that was never shown any affection by his creators.

I'm definitely not the primary audience for this, but seeing someone independently advocate for their idea and bring it to life is awe inspiring. It reminds me of those early 2010's dumb & dumber duo nickelodeon cartoons like sanjay & craig
