Thank you for sharing. I just back tested 30 days on the 5 min using a 1 to 1 without regarding support/resistance and had a 66% win rate. There were a couple of trades that were barely the 1 to 1 and I wonder if my platform would have caught the TP since it's moving so fast in some cases. I realize 30 days data is not enough but I think the results warrant further back testing.

I trade 15 minute opening range breakout $SPY options. Biggest difficulty is nailing the entry, trading market orders barely break even after 3 weeks. Closer to bid and ask the better obviously.

This was truly an excellent video on the S&P range breakouts. I've been having success with this strategy the past month. Over 20 trades and high probability outcomes; It seems that ranges form daily on an intraday level. 15 min, 1-hour range. Then price breaks a price level. Just following it and not trying to anticipate reversals, but riding the small waves have been key.

Are you setting limit buys at the top and bottom of the opening range? On your first pay you said it triggered a sell immediately. On the second you waited for retest. Which way are you entering trades?
