The Mist Filter Just Became Digital - FilmConvert Halation

Tiffen Black Pro Mist filters may be a thing of the past. FilmConvert Halation will blow your mind, it's basically a digital mist filter and it works incredibly well. They said it couldn't be done, but those wizards in New Zealand have done it!

I think you mixed the different upgrades, Halation is not 29$, 29$ is if you already have an old version of Film Convert and want to upgrade to Nitrate (without Halation). Halation is currently at 49$, which is still a very good deal, and this comes on top of buying FC Nitrate.

Was this shot with Sony A7S3? If so, did you grade with film convert? or did you use some other conversion LUT and applied Film convert Halation?

If FilmConvert doesn't have a Camera Pack for the particular camera you are using will Halation work? What settings should I use if there isn't a Camera Pack available for my camera (mostly using A6700 but also a Mini 4 Pro and just bought a DJI Pocket 3).

When we go full digital, and we are pretty much there, right? I wont be looking back all misty eyed. They will not be missed. Mist, sure! Missed? Absolutely not!

Don't know wether it's me but I actually prefer the ' before ' footage. I've never liked the misty/bloom look, prefer sharper stuff.Thats why your the Pro and i ain't😀🤷

Ok, your video made me wayyy more excited about this plug-in. Frankly, Film convert’s video is very underwhelming. Excited to ditch the pro mist filters!
