I am from Mangalia, Romania. When I was a young boy I lived just like 100-150 meters away from the Black Sea and very often the shore was my playground with the friends, the most attractive were the casemates(fortifications) of the WW2, which are still there.
One year the sea level was very low(way lower than usual), we were going towards the war fortifications and we saw like a paved ancient road not very far from the shore, into the sea. We were amazed, but never realised what we saw. The same town wich is build on the top of a very ancient city called Callatis, ancient ruins everywhere and if you dig a bit, is almost impossible to don't find some artefacts.

The northern part of the Black Sea suffered from this flood the most. There were no Azov Sea and no Crimean peninsula before the cataclysm. Considering Ararat is situated in the modern day Eastern Turkey, could the original Noa's prototype started his exodus from there and across the Black Sea? That's mind-blowing. Also, Anatolian neolithic farmers settled in the modern day Ukraine as early as 7500 BC (see Trypilian culture)

It is likely that the flood stories of the region are were written from the folk legends, and are to some degree historical. It is impossible that a flood covered the entire world, but it would seem as if it did to the people who lived along the lake which used to be near the bottom of what is now the Black Sea. It is interesting to note that in antiquity the mountains along and to the south of the Black Sea were called the Mountains of Ararat, and that in Aramaic it is often difficult to determine plurals from singulars. Did Noah/Gilgamesh land at the Mountains of Ararat, rather than on the Mountain of Ararat? Since there is no geological evidence of a flood near Mt. Ararat it seems much more plausible That he landed at the Mountains of Ararat.

Yes I believe there was a flood but it was in the Mediterranean and evidence showed it was 130 meters above current sea level. This was more than enough to spill over into the Black Sea. A huge asteroid of pure molten sulfur struck the continental shelf in southern Turkey next to the island of Rhodes. In fact, Rhodes was rotated 9 degrees counterclockwise as a result. The mark it left indicates it was 110km in diameter which would have raised the sea 130 meters. Sulfur melts at a very low temperature (115C) so it was mostly liquid. When it struck, sulfur sprayed in the air and rained down on cities, burning them to the ground. Lakes of burning sulfur (or brimstone as it was known) became the vision of hell. When sulfur fumes condense, it forms a blood red liquid. The object flew low in the sky, south to north parallel to the Nile and the heavier than air fumes gathered at the lowest point which is along the Nile. It also formed sulfuric acid which killed all the fish. The shock wave surrounding the ball was at a pressure of 4500 psi and this blasted the desert away in what is now known as the Qattara Depression. As it crossed the Mediterranean Sea the shock wave would have cleared all the water away 200km all the way to the bottom thus parting the sea. Billions of tons of water were lofted into the sky where it froze and came back to earth as giant hail. Sulfur droplets also tend to pick up a large charge of static electricity as it falls through the air causing sideways lightning described in the Bible. Large numbers of people were reportedly killed by this lightning. Reportedly large numbers of soldiers were killed by rocks and debris falling from the sky. Eyewitnesses in Tunisia reported a sun-like object striking the coast of Libya (actually western Egypt) and they could see a dust storm which is the dirt blasted from Qattara. Strange stories in the Bible about the sun standing still, a day lasting twice the normal length, a sundial that went backwards ten degrees are all the result of burning sulfur in the sky. The Mediterranean Sea eventually dropped back to normal sea level but the Black Sea went from well below sea level to be even with the Mediterranean. Most, if not all, the plagues and other strange stories in the Bible are explained by the ball of sulfur. If it was solid instead of liquid, we probably wouldn't be here to talk about it.

And yeah. The Black Sea is anoxic at depth. No oxygen, little to no salt, organisms can't survive down there. Dump a body and send it to the bottom, it won't rot much for many years to come.
There are all kinds of wrecks down there, for sure. From before Roman Empire era up til today. Wouldn't be surprised if hte movie BLACK SEA is semi-accurate, unknowingly, and there are perhaps ships with gold in them down there. But if there are/were... well, we don't know or will never know. Until more exploration is done.
As for the civilizations that might've been or have been where the Black Sea is, there is more than just flooding that could've happened. Landslides, earthquakes, ice could've slid down over it all and melted later... any number of things. The oceans are so mysterious.

A correct reading of the Bible, especially the story of Noah(Genesis chs 6-9) using a Strong's Concordance and Hebrew Lexicon shows the Flood was not necessarily world-wide
