Glade to see someone else's showing how to fix these machines.
I bought the QK18KXS-C. It had the diesel motor. It weighed 2450. I did mods on the one i had. If you are a larger person this machine is not for you unless you buy with out cab. Im 6ft 300 pounds. Thats why i sold it. I moved ac to back. If you wount to see mods goto jts okie's hobbies and adventures. I did put 1 wire alternator on the diesel model 7222 kubota engine

Love the content. Im waiting for a step by step or 3 part series on swapping in a HF Predator motor and all the controls.

Too funny, i just picked up an exact one of these a month ago! Only difference incan see is that the unit I grabbed has a "slide" window for the hydraulic tank cap access rather than the circular door pictured on this one.

I have not get had a chance to do anything with it yet except drive it off the trailer.

Looking forward to seeing mods and upgrades you do!

Really looking forward to what you come up with for this machine. I’ve had the same one for about 4 months now and I like it, but there things I wish were better. The AC fix you’re working on will obviously be great, but the number one thing I feel I need is a flow control valve setup particular to this machine to smooth out the operation. This thing will just start bucking like a wild stallion out of nowhere. I feel I have enough seat time in it now to know that it’s not operator error and throwing the controls too hard.

The biggest safety issue I have with this machine is the CO in the cab, the exhaust setup is just absolutely wrong for a machine with an enclosed cab. The “exhaust pipe” sticking out the back isn’t actually connected to the muffler, it’s just sheet metal screwed to the heat shield. The result is a massive build up of CO in the cab. When I tested it, with the door and windows shut and running at idle, the CO level in the cab hit 250 PPM in under 2 minutes and was still rising quickly. I tried to correct it by having a 6” pipe welded directly to the muffler and it helped quite a bit, but the CO level can still get up to about 30-40 PPM when running at idle. A solution to this would be awesome, if I can’t solve this problem I’m probably going to just have to ditch the cab, or at least just remove the windows so the CO doesn’t’ t get trapped inside and eventually kill me.

Another informative video…Thanks for sharing…

Do you have an ETA as to when the cushion valve hose kits will be available on your store website?

Have you also figured out a fix for the exhaust not actually being connected? The tailpipe is just riveted to the shroud 😃

i think i fixed the jerkyness with springs on the actuator buttons under the rubber shroud on the pilot controls . i cut a 9/16" x 1 3/4" compression spring in half and slipped it over the button, it gives resistance to the controls. please comment if you think it is going to cause an issue, i did this on a LS15r

How do you get in contact to ask ordering questions?
Filled out my profile but I am getting an IR - 10 excavator I'd like to make sure I order the right hydrualic cooler kit for it?

Nice vid!
My research is showing that the 420cc engines are generally 8-10A charging circuit - still can't run the A/C, and can barely run a cooling fan and still not lose battery by the end of the day - especially with the steady drain of the pilot solenoid which seems to be about 1A (but I've not definitively tested that yet).

P.S. Was it jumpy at low throttle? I run my H15 at around 2000 RPM or so unless I'm actually putting load on, or travelling.

Speaking of H15 - is this unit's pump set up the same (or at least similar)?
I'm still looking for the pump specs to try and source an upgrade that will handle both systems.

How easy is it to remove the cab and AC on this model? The only two models at my local auction that had a swing boom and hyd thumb was this model and the DM12-C. I went with the DM12-C since I didn't know what's all stationary with the cab. Plus it had everything wired to the key, no extra battery shutoff.

That Chinese made A/C unit not gonna add more counter weight? 😂 couldn’t help myself. I’d agree with another commenter, AGT’s are pretty finicky and a little jerky on the hydraulics. Another good video Cam, could we get one explaining what each of the letters of the model numbers signifies?

Gas engine and a cab, 2 strikes already.

My 2-cents = that gas tank is in a bad spot... I have a QH13R with the cab and I will be installing gas tank with an accessible fill area. Also having to notch out an area for a belt can't be that bad as the engine is only a 10hp.

Agt sure seem way more jerky than other brands.
