Yes!!! I LOVE Sammy Rae & The Friends. All of their music is incredible. In an interview once Sammy Rae talked about how her roots are basically as a folk singer-songwriter, but her band kicks way too much @$$ to just do folk music. Every member of the band brings so much, and their vibe is so friendly, joyful, and wholesomely queer. The percussionist, C-Bass, is ridiculously talented-- they infuse this incredible range of Latin rhythms (samba, bossa nova, mambo, son, rumba, etc...) into the music-- that transition in this piece is so cool. Then she always loved the saxophone in Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band, so she decided she wanted two saxes. My favorite tracks from her are "Jackie Onassis" and "Kick It To Me."
