I purchased these on a lightning deal and didn't have extremely high expectations. They are a heavier-duty and thicker material than I expected, almost as thick as a pair of chino khakis. The pockets are plenty big and have dividers in them. At first I thought the length was going to be a bit long, however, once I put them on they were just right with hiking boots on. The legs are plenty big to not hinder flexibility in the outdoors. I can't comment on zippers on legs as I haven't taken them apart, but they seemed ok. I wore these in 20 degree weather and they kept me somewhat warm without a base layer. Probably a little heavy for a summer pant.
