I live in the Netherlands... Unfortunately the city where this mosque is located is full of nationalists (not everybody though), who are known to dislike foreigners. As you would guess they don't like muslims and believe everything the fake news media is portraying. This is a widespread problem, but especially in cities/villages like these, the majority thinks that way. Still the politics turn a blind eye when stuff like this happens, this wasn't on the news at all today :/
