The heartbeat of America was felt in Houston! Nearly 200 prime examples of @Chevrolet machinery crossed the Barrett-Jackson auction block. The usual crop of muscle-bound suspects – Impalas, Camaros and Chevelles continued to serve as pillars of the collector car hobby and, of course, America’s sportscar, the Corvette, continued to be a favorite (so much so that we’ve given the ’Vette its very own Top 10). Speaking of favorites, we’re in Texas and this is truck country! The iconic Chevrolet Blazer continued to make waves in the collector world, as did some beautiful custom pickup trucks.

I had a 69 Camaro RS when I was 19 in 1975
One of many nice cars I had
I just bought a 2023 Camaro SS convertible
Black with gray interior
I’m hoping my family will keep it in the family when I’m gone

As 18-20 year olds, we had no idea the cars we bought and drove for $3, 000 are now six figure cars.

I'm 26 and get so jealous of people from the late 60s and early 70s. That 67 z/28 would be so cool to drive. Like today I get to dred the end of the v8 muscle car era

I felt an attraction to the Chevelle number 8 that was the Battleship Gray with black. I think what did it was the lack of Chrome. The announcer was right, with the bumpers and everything all color matched on that car, it does look right.

I had a 70.5 Z28. Who knew, it would be worth this kind of money way back then.

These aren't cars to be driven. They are art pieces for display.
