Virus.DOS.Walker

The Walker virus causes an old man, which happens to be a sprite ripped out of the game "Bad Street Brawlers," to walk across the screen at regular intervals, interrupting any work being done on the PC.

So thanks to AVGN, I just learned the old guy sprite is from a C64 game called Street Hassle. You're a shirtless dude with sunglasses that goes around headbutting this old guy.

the beeping on key presses is telling you the keyboard buffer is full, and because the virus hung the PC there isnt anything empting the buffer

Back when viruses were just anonying visual pranks (Usually, but not always...) just to mess with you
Now they fill your web page with ads, gen. inapropriate videos, steal your info., and give you more of the same viruses...

Your copy of "Walker" must be infected with the "Katie's Groove" virus.

That 'groove' virus is a separate virus entirely. Looking it up wasn't pretty, and, fun fact, at half past midnight on any day, the virus displays a message that says, "This is not dedicated to Sara, its dedicated to her groove." The message is continued by explaining that the virus is only part of what has already been installed on your computer. The virus continues to delete files which size is above a certain limit set by the virus itself. That virus is actually WORSE than Walker

Ah... good old days when there wasn't any abstraction layer and viruses could mess up with your computer in spooky ways. Now everything is keyloggers, adware, spyware and commercial shit. I don't say I wanted this in my old computer but... It was cool!
