UKRAINE — EUROPE: FOREVER. Virtuosos-2022. Ukrainian Muses Are Not Silent
Показать описание
CHARITABLE HELP FOR UKRAINIAN MUSICIANS:
The concert is associated with a symbolic date — the period when Ukraine celebrates Europe Day. But the works contained in the program are exclusively Ukrainian, and contemporary. This confirms the name of the event — for many years one after the other, and especially today, Ukraine is part of Europe, its cultural and historical heritage.
Bohdana Frolyak’s Cello Concerto, Lviv premiere of Bohdan Kryvopust’s “Ukrainian Overture” (this work, written last year, won the All-Ukrainian Overture Competition) and Yevhen Stankovych’s Second Symphony, — these three generations of Ukrainian composers will present their European integrated works.
It is impossible to disagree with the statement of musicologist Olena Korchova that all Ukrainian music symbolically lives in the creative figure of the last of the named authors. After all, this name "the name embraces the best of current musical traditions: the romantic passion of Berezovskyi and Bortnianskyi's classic noble sound, the European elegance of Lysenko and Leontovych’s patriotism, as well as the anxiety of the melos and narrative tone of the Ukrainian spirit and soul”. During the “Heroic” Symphony, the listener will have the opportunity to hear the individual features of the early creative period of Stankovych, where the special dramatic expressiveness of the author's expression is already at its full power.

• Oksana Lytvynenko, cello

• Volodymyr Syvokhip, conductor
Program:
• Bohdan Kryvopust (1975). Ukrainian Overture (2021) 1:04
