It clearly sounded thinner than the original but it sounded damn good for a $3 microphone. At that price I’m even surprised that it has internal components that doesn’t explode with the 48v phantom power.

I've been engineering for nearly 30 years. That 3 dollar mic didn't sound bad at all.

So funny, we all laugh right up to the point you hear a hit from an up and coming artist and they tell you they recorded it with a U87 from temu. Then we stop laughing 😂😂😂😳

Sometimes our biases will allow us to hear what really isn't. I bet if Bolo didn't declare what mic goes with what sound, y'all would have a hard time knowing which is which. Fact is the cheaper mic sounds really good. Some comments say it doesn't sound 'that bad' but I disagree, it SOUNDS GOOD. I promise you that if a singer recorderd using that mic and it's mixed and mastered, aint nobody gonna complain saying "I bet they used a $3 mic"

that mic sounded like a 200 dollar mic, to be fair!

That Temu mic sounded SIGNIFICANTLY better than the first mic I ever bought... Which was a CAD U37 for $75 back in 2009... I'm actually curious to see how well I can mix a record with that Temu mic

The clone definitely has a different sound profile from the U87, however for your voice it captures your core frequencies remarkably well. I was genuinely surprised. I would be interested in testing the two mics on a range of frequencies and timbres to see what the full range of differences are.

The $3 mic did not sound bad at all! I'm in my treated studio listing on full range monitors. The Top end on the Chinese mic was higher and little less on the low end (Body) but the mids were very close! This mic is very useable in a recording environment.

Just goes to show u that a $3 mic is USEABLE if needed. Also, a $3300+ mic doesn't guarantee a hit.

I'm a drummer, it all sounded the same to me.

Thank you for making the video, and giving us a chance to hear it.

I took my Temu clone U 87, that I received yesterday and recorded a practice ACX audiobook audition. I took the raw recording, done through a Behringer UMC22 audio interface and then submitted the raw, unedited recording, and it passed the ACX standards check. I was home alone, sitting in the front room of my house closest to the street. I have never had an ACX check get approved the first time. The only variable was the mic. The sound floor is quite low, and I like the bass in my voice during the recordings. My simple, but real experience with a U87 clone microphone.

He said "it didn't matter - they just threw it in there" haha 😆😆😆

Somebody that knows what they’re doing can take that microphone and do wonders with it.

The mic isnt Horrible but… you gotta consider YouTube audio compression. However, top end is very crunchy and and midrange is very weak.. but… it’s not bad for $3. I personally would not recommend it for recording but I can see it being used for podcasts or generating ideas 😎

For $3, this mic is BANANAS.. I don’t think there is a better 3 buck mic out there

You can make some real bangers with that $3 mic. No joke💯🎤

I’ve bought 3 or 4 $30 mics over the past few years, one is a large condenser, the other two are Pyle fake 57s. Surprisingly, they all sound right up there. I record with them all the time.

That mic sounds dang good for $3! I would keep one in my drawer or travel bag for quick demos.

No one can ever tell the difference in what mic I use when I'm done mixing

I was actually shocked at how good it sounded. That kind of quality for $3 is really impressive.
Probably wouldn't last long due to build quality though.
