It’s amazing they’re getting power so quickly. Most of the time it takes me two weeks to get power back after a large storm.

They need to be proactive not reactive, I'm sick of this 💩

On Sunday, they will say it will be by Wednesday that we all get power.

Hot dam, we got our power back in Spring! It's so nice to sleep in the AC! Thanks to the hard-working guys that made it happen.

Awesome knowing we have to go without power for a whole month every year 👍🏾

It’s not the people who are working to get the power back up and running it’s the people in offices not in the area calling the shots being “bosses” in a building miles away from the affected areas. These men are just doing their jobs and I am grateful to all the people who are working around the clock to get this done thank you and may the Father bless you and keep you safe in this horrendous heat .

I have a workmate whose husband works for a power company up here in N-TX. Last week, he was in OK dealing with power outages - then he got the call over the weekend to go to Houston. So he drove 8 hours to your city to help get things up and going. Why am I telling you this? Because his wife got a video from him today of people cussing at him, throwing rocks and bottles at his crew members and having a hissy fit because someone brought these linemen some cold cut sandwiches. Really? Why?
I understand the frustration and the heat, I spent two of the worst years of my life in Houston. I also understand that living on the coast means you better be ready to take care of yourself for a week or so while hard working linemen struggle to get your AC back on.
These men sleep in their trucks because the hotels nearby are filled to capacity. They don't have the option of searching out a cooling station for some respite from the heat. And they don't see their families for weeks on end. So you want to throw things at these men, maybe make one of them lose their balance and fall into one of those power lines. Would that get your lights on faster?
Shame, shame, shame on these folks who are so wrapped up in themselves that they can't find some way to help the others around them, especially the crews that are working 16 hours per day, trying to help Houston. BIG, BIG black eye for some of Houston!!!

Bruh...a tropical storm/cat 1 hurricane did this. Image what a cat 2+ would do. 💀

You guys are mentioning so many places that are far away from Houston. Do you guys realize there are many people still inside the loop without any power. Driving down to 290 people are still without power businesses are still without power.

Cat 1, and this is the stupid reason....trees! Bigger storms, power on quicker. Explain that Entergy. I ain't seen trucks in my neighborhood.

I lose power a week out of every year in Houston. Pathetic

Saying that they weren’t prepared is not an excuse… I only have a high school degree and even I could’ve told them that there would be widespread power outage. Since storms are becoming stronger and it was clear that we were going to get the right side of the storm

We know it's not simple. All they had to do to avoid this backlash was to prepare, which they did NOT do.
