There will be a 'process' to reset China-Australia relationship

Chinese Ambassador to Australia Xiao Qian says there will be a process to reset the relationship between China and Australia after the last few years of “difficult situation” between the two nations.

“What we have now is just a good start, and there’s more to be done,” he said at a National Press Club address on Wednesday.

“Including creating a favourable atmosphere between our two countries politically.

“Political relations is important – when we have a good one, they are helpful to our cooperation.”
