Yes. Nigalidze was a GM, was stripped of his title by FIDE and received a three year ban. Now working his way up again. Hopefully on his own now.

21:04 for what the video is about since it cuts to random games after the first few seconds

The game starting at 41:00 was especially beautifully explained by Hikaru and very educational. I can recommend everyone watches that one.

Ironically, game 3 was rather uneventful. Just Hikaru constantly standing better with better time.

The reason why cheaters clickbait are so good is because people actually want to see how good gm's are against bionics humans xD.

"I'm trying to play like Magnus Carlsen and trade into the endgame for no reason."😂

There are people who win the lottery twice then died the next day. . 😂😂😂

Don’t mistake this Tigran Petrosian for the late World Champion Tigran V. Petrosian. Dude’s father named his son Tigran to honor the late champion who died one month before his birth.

On the whole discussion of blindfolded chess, as a 1500, I can technically "play" blindfolded, but I frequently missed that my opponent (maybe a 600) was hanging a piece as she played. It was only when I told her to move her bishop to a specific square because it was her only move that didn't lose her bishop, and she replied, "it's not just the bishop that's hanging right now..." did I realize that her knight on g6 was also hanging. I did end up converting to an an endgame up a knight with rooks and pawns when we stopped the game. I never made any illegal moves and actually caught her trying to move a piece that was pinned to her king, but I wouldn't say I was particularly "good" at playing blindfolded. It took me way too long to calculate things and I had the most trouble with long diagonals, which is half the reason I didn't remember her knight was hanging on g6.

Oh, and I'm 1500 online, not OTB

There was a Canadian guy who survived a lightning strike, and went on to win the lottery

My brother and I did a simul at an Akron mall back in the 70s. It was fun an easy. We were only in the 2000-2100 range, and each faced more than 20 players. I won all of mine. The biggest problem was a guy who kept making two moves while I walked around.

He’s playing the Cagnus Marlsen style more than the Hackamura style a lot lately.

@3:04 why bishop B2 not take Qf6? Is it to just force the queen to move to gain tempo? because Qe2 protecting Bb2 also threatening f6? ida took that personally, and am trying to see why.

26:30 Who would've thought that someone who's cheated OTB can't take a defeat properly... 🙄
