Recently, I found some bugs in the last version of VMWare Tools for Windows Vista (which is listed in the description). Aero stops working at random times and the resolution doesn't get set up properly.
This version should also work for Vista SP1, if you're still using that and don't want to upgrade.

Hey I’m really stuck and I’m wanting to know if you can help me move from windows 10 to 7. I can’t get past the install screen. My mouse and keyboard do not work when brought the install from BIOS. If you can upload soon or tell me the steps that would be awesome. Right now I’m thinking of moving to Linux/Steam OS but there are probably many probs I won’t be able to use. Thank You!!!

Actually dont do it. Itll not let you use your OS anymore when you restart the VM.
