I understand one of the definitions of nostalgia is "pain from an old wound." Another is "Summer of '42." What a timeless classic.

Gary Grimes was a great actor!! I'm rather sad he left his craft. But, I understand his need to do other, more giving, things. ❤

The movie that had more effect on me than any other. I was sixteen when seeing it, so it's understandable why it had such an effect.

This movie crushed me when I saw it at 14, on cable. The writer based this story on his own experience when he was the same age as Hermie. After seeing it, the lady who he had that experience with actually found him and contacted him, and apologized if what had happened so many years before had hurt him or caused him harm. <3 I had no idea about that until about a year ago, and it hit me even harder because of it.
