AH yes technic sets are almost always complete at garage sales. Technic pieces are always stronger, that's also why it hurts so much to take them apart. Also Grogu in the back.

You can also use bracket pieces or snot brick for the plate

I remember the original Imperial Shuttle had a fin of purely stacked bricks that made it really fragile. In later versons, the fin was composed of bricks interlaced with technic beams that made it practically indestructible. Lego design has come a long way.

Though this mainly applies to larger-scale projects; I.E. professional display pieces such as Miniland Buildings or Life-Size builds, do not discount Duplo; thanks to Duplo pieces being much larger while still being compatible with standard System pieces (a Duplo stud can fit an entire 2x2 anti-stud inside of itself), Duplo can significantly increase the structural integrity of larger structures, especially those that do not need interior space for technic functionality or internal dioramas.

In fact, since Duplo is typically sold on once children "graduate" to standard System pieces, Duplo is often widely available in bulk lots on the cheap in the secondhand market, making them highly cost-effective for people starting on such large sculptures.

Just lightly wet the studs, when it dries it will create a small vacuum. Only works with warmer weather though
