In this webinar, two of the cofounders of the Quantum Energy Initiative and two of its industry vendor partners will showcase their early work on how to evaluate and optimize the energetic footprint of quantum computers. It will start with a presentation of the proposed full-stack MNR (metric-noise-resources) methodology by Alexia Auffèves, and its early implementation with superconducting qubits. Next Olivier Ezratty who will showcase how quantum and classical computing resources can be estimated at the algorithm and hardware levels and their various trade-offs and interdependencies. The final segment of the webinar will include a discussion with Pierre-Emmanuel Emeriau and Jeremy Stevens from Alice&Bob on how these two companies are planning to assess and optimize the energetics of their quantum processing units in the NISQ (noisy intermediate scale quantum computing) and FTQC (fault-tolerant quantum computing) regimes.
