How to Create a Revcontent Ad (Detailed Explanation + Hints/Tips)
Показать описание
Hey all!
In this video I show you how to create a Revcontent ad (Native advertising platform) that will show your ad on any topic sites/blogs of your choice.
Of course if you also have your own website that you want to monetize, you can also apply as a publisher and have Revcontent pay YOU for using your site, but in this video, we will be coming at it from the side of an advertiser - a person promoting several websites on the blogs/websites of their choice.
Don't worry too much about filling in the website and other such details - those mostly apply to publishers so that Revcontent can gauge how popular the site is to determine if it is worth showing.
After filling in all the details, you would need to verify your email - you may need to wait half an hour to an hour to receive it, and until then, you won't be able to log into the account - so don't freak out and be patient.
You may also get an email telling you that you weren't approved... again, don't worry - that is for publishers, NOT advertisers - so if you put in the website you want to promote - they just disapproved it thinking you wanted to place Revcontent ads on that site.
If you are an advertiser - disregard that.
After you confirm, you can log in and verify your payment information - necessary before you get started.
Once you do all that, it's time to start.
Click on 'Campaign Boosts' and just fill in all the details.
Mark the objective as 'Engagement' for now since I will be going over conversion tracking in the upcoming video.
Select your topic interest group, akin to interest groups in Facebook, or keywords in AdWords, as that will be your target audience.
Then click save and you will get to the ad level.
Here, you just need to enter your site URL, provide a headline, and add an image.
Revcontent will NOT approve your ads if you don't do what they state in the requirements!
Even the image has to be a 4:3 aspect ratio starting off with 420x315 pixels... if it's anything other than that, your ad will get disapproved for just that reason.
Revcontent also states that they take 5-7 business days to review an ad, and they aren't kidding... so when you create your ad, make sure it 100% matches the guidelines, or it will get disapproved after the 7 days and you'll need to wait another 7 days for the approval.
After that is done and you submit your ad, you can go back into targeting options to edit your list and change your bids.
Keep in mind that the stated bid amounts don't mean that you MUST have that bid in order to show your ads - you can bid for less, but you'll just also get less impressions - however it's still possible for your ad to show even with a lower amount.
That's it!
