I have bad/good news. In the medical world they put the expiration date one year from it's actual expiration date for quality assurance. So technically, they are good for a year after the expiration date. I've known this for 35 years. Nothing has changed.

Expired by date is a joke. I work for biotech companies where we date extend products all the time. Yes, we retest to make sure it is still good. QA always keep every products shipped to test quality and shelf life extensions. Who requires the Expired by
