When I bought a PS shortly after it was released it came with a demo disc that let you play the first track of Wipeout (with no music). I was so hyped to get it, but I got impatient waiting for it when I found Cyber Speed and thought it looked like the same thing. I remember the day Wipeout was released I took Cyber Speed back to the game store and traded it for Wipeout. The guy working there said "So you didn't like playing a trolley car?"

Watching this review was kind of a blast from the past for me. I vividly remember renting this game when the ps1 was fairly new. But have literally never thought about it again since 😆. That being said though, its fairly cheap. I may pick up a copy just for a bit of nostalgia one weekend.

I remember this was one of my fist psx games I did enjoy it and logged hours on it. Coming from a snes and Mario kart and fzero being two of my favorite games this was fun. Thx for doing a rebid this obscure game!

Long after jewel cases became the norm, you’d still find a sun-faded long box copy haunting every store’s new game section. This game makes a lot more sense when you realize Mindscape also published MegaRace. Too bad they didn’t bring Lance Boyle along for the ride.
