Where did you get the footage for Santa Cruz? Those shots of the mountains and high rises are not Santa Cruz California.

Some of these are not day trips. Driving to Mendocino take 3.5 hours. Lake Tahoe is at least 3 hours. Lassen is more than 4 hours. And in Monterey, it's Cannery Row (as in canning fish) and not Canary (like the bird). And Carmel is Car Mel, not pronounced like the candy.

good stuff but... half the footage of Santa Cruz is not Santa Cruz California. I can assure Monterey was not the capital of "Spanish California" in the 1880s. - Spanish California became Mexican California in 1821 Monterey was Capitol of both until 1846 when California became in independent nation until later in 1846 it became a part of the USA. Gold was discovered and CA was admitted as a free state in 1850 skipping territory status...

Wrong fact, it was the capital of Mexican California since Mexico's independence.

“Monterey served as the capital of Spanish California until 1882” well aside from the wrong date, you should’ve said “Mexican California”, …..never forget about who the US stole this land from… I always wonder why everyone in California never talks about the “Mexican California”, as if the U.S. had inherited this land directly from Spain (or as liberals now say.. occupied from the Natives)…

Bring diapers. Bathrooms are banned there or they forgot to build them.
