I'm a big fan of the Fender Rhodes electric piano so I was excited to do this and showcase the differences and unique flavors of these two instruments. The noise you heard in the first one is the pedal noise. They sampled the pedal noise for authenticity.

House: Mark I is definitely a really great sounding app. The samples are top notch. I look forward to seeing more apps from these fellas. Especially if the samples are as clean as they are in the Mark I app. They definitely have a customer here. Thanks for the review.

Does the PreSonus ioStation work well with the IPad?

They both sound great, and for the money involved, it's worth having both. I think that Neo-Soul is a bit more authentic and sounds more like a real sampled Rhodes. House is more impressionistic and less of a pure Rhodes copy, but the sounds are very attractive and usable, and might actually make more of an impression in a song than the more traditional Rhodes sounds of Neo-Soul. I especially like the "Letter to Nat" sound, which was jazzy and punchy with a lot of presence. It's great that apps of this quality are available so cheaply on IOS now.
