What If We Detonated All Nuclear Bombs in Space at Once?

Each of you probably knows that nuclear weapons are extremely dangerous. But this is true only not on land, but also underwater and in space. The consequences of explosions in each environment differ. While it's more or less clear what happens on Earth, in outer space, it's still a mystery. What do you think would happen if nuclear weapons were set off in space? Not one charge, not ten, but all of them at once? For today's video, I decided to conduct this exact experiment.

If I only had 10 minutes left to live, I’d watch one of these videos. They seem to last forever with this narrator.

What he failed to mention was that the tests were called off after that first successful detonation. They were intending on the next one being much, much larger. After seeing the reach of the EMP though, they decided going bigger might be a bad idea, and canceled future experiments.

I hadn't realized how much more powerful our nuclear technology had become since 1945, though I suppose I should have expected it. For a bit of context, the bomb we dropped on hiroshima was about 15kt. The modern day bombs in this video were 150kt - 550kt, which is just plain uncalled for! That means that someone in the last 75 years looked at the devastation in japan and actually had the thought "Lets make this 10 - 36 times stronger in case <Insert good reason here> happens." Further more, taking into account their increase in power, why in the hell would you ever need 10, 000+ of them? That is more than enough to end human history a few times over and still have some to spare, so wtf do we have so many extra for? Are we planning an attack on mars or something, is their a mother ship heading our way that the military forgot to mention? Not to mention the ridiculous cost to build and house maintain them. Why do we need more nukes than is required to destroy whole of the earth's surface? Surly I am missing something here....
