Pinless guitar bridge to pinned guitar bridge, easy lifted bridge repair.

No fancy tools, no professional workshop, you can do it at your garage :)
If you have a pinless bridge guitar without any bridge supporting screws, you have a risk to have your bridge be lifted. If you do the same as i did in my video, you will minimize this risk, because the big part of string tension will be moved from the bridge to the top deck. Good luck !!!

Superglue does wonders for all of this. It's not uncommon to shave a repair area a few times to refill then shave to polish. Completely bashed tops can be saved.

Nice to find this video. I have 2 Breedlove guitars with pinless bridge. My right hand tends to deaden the tone of the B and E strings since I find my palm resting on the bridge for stability. Wrong probably but that's how I have played for over 60 years. I have thought that converting the bridge to pinned would help since I don't have this issue when playing my other guitars. You have given me the courage to try this on the less expensive Breedlove. Thanks for posting...

You can get Power Pins to make restringing easier cause you load the strings into them.

When converting a string through bridge to a pin bridge, dont you need to add a wood plate or flat brace under the bridge to give better support of string tension against the sound board?

You got lucky. I like your clamping jig - very clever. But I would have still take the loose bridge off Entirely. That gives you a chance to remove the finish under the bridge area and any traces of the oLd glue from both the top and the bridge. A household iron and 15-20 minutes is all it takes - then you’re 100% sure you have s great bond. BTW - Ovations are notorious for bridge failures - they glued the bridge on top of a finished top instead of to bare wood to streamline manufacturing- and they all fail sooner or later.
