as a European living here, nobody without a citizenship should ever be allowed to vote. getting naturalized is a commitment you make, it's a responsibility you take, it matters. if you have lived here for 30 years, as in the example mentioned by Comrade Starmer, and you don't have a citizenship, why on earth would we take you seriously and let you vote??

Wait, he says he met people who have been here 30 years, married a Brit and had kids but cannot vote. So being here for 30 years, marrying a Brit and having kids was not enough of an incentive to become a British citizen so they can vote?
